We had booked a very expensive room with a view. For 500 € per night we expect in ” Europe “something better.
The rooms are used and the bathroom without windows. The reception and the friendliness leaves much to be desired. Rather cool and reserved. In our opinion the location is not central. To get to Downtown or Pier 39 you have to walk several meters. On the whole, we would not book this hotel any more and would not recommend it.

As other evaluations already suggest, the Vitale trumps above all with its location directly opposite the Ferry Building. The view from the roof terrace is truly impressive, the two rooms that we were assigned could not keep up with it in any way. The alleged boutique character of the hotel is hardly noticeable in the rooms. They are small and at least on the 2nd floor also dark.
The hotel bar is a hotspot for after-work-drinks, which annoys service accordingly. Also the service at the frontdesk was maucous by American standards. San Francisco certainly has better hotels to offer.
