Beautiful, spacious suite overlooking Alcatraz and San Francisco Bay. Very conveniently located, Cable Car and Fisherman’s Wharf just a few minutes walk away. Only the breakfast buffet did not meet our expectations. Otherwise super hotel.

Location of the hotel was perfect for the excursions.
Many interesting places / sights are close to the Fairmont Heritage. The bay overlooking Alcatraz, the active centre, Pier 39, many restaurants (Grandeho’s Sushi), cafés or Chinatown are within walking distance. The concierges at Fairmont Heritage are friendly and helpful, as are the doormen. It has enough staff – there are always 2-4 standing around. We have a spacious and well furnished apartment with 2 bedrooms, which is decorated in brown tones. The apartment offers a fireplace (gas), a washing machine and a tumbler.

The terrace on the 2nd floor is fantastic. Comfortable armchairs with smart tables, a large fireplace and the wonderful view over the sea to Alcatraz. The cleaning staff – whether in the apartment or in the small restaurant (breakfast / cheese & wine) leaves much to be desired. For example, the windows show prints of the last resident. The glass panes at the shower/bathtub have water splashes. The dishwasher has food leftovers. The rubber of the washing machine is dirty. Many may not mind, but I expect perfection in this price range. Tripadvisor is also there – to give an honest opinion. The coffee machine at breakfast is poorly maintained, so that either milk for the capuccino or coffee beans are constantly missing. The breakfast buffet is sufficient. Berries, porridge, toast, bagels and drinks. What is absolutely unacceptable are interviews for service personnel in the restaurant area (next to guest tables). The company policy or the CV of the prospective employee should be taboo for guest ears. An unpleasant situation for the future employee as well as for the guest. Location 5 stars. Staff 4 stars.
